Delicious afternoon tea

Having afternoon tea can be a fun outing with friends whether you are celebrating a special occasion or having a girls-only gathering.
Delicious by ms read has a warm atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable. The menu offers a la carte selections, as well as  afternoon tea. The afternoon tea service was generously portioned and beautifully presented.
Though much of the fare was to be expected. Assortment of finger sandwiches, scones and clotted cream,  a choice of any 1 slice of delicious cake on display, bla bla  bla...the experience was the real treat.

Warm Scones with Jam & Pure Cream

Assortment of Finger Sandwiches &
Duck Confit in Filo Pastry

Strawberries with Chocolate Dip &
Hand-rolled Chocolate Truffles

Rosemary & Cheese Cookies

A slice of any one cake on display

Two cups of hot tea or coffee

The three varieties of sandwiches were all not bad.

The scones were above average but not splendid.

For the selection of cake, we have chosen berrilicious chocolate pavlova. We couldn't resist it because of the beautiful strawberries on top.
The correct manner should be start eating from the bottom of a tiered tray, but I can't wait to taste the upper layer cakes.
I've never tried pavlova before, so I'm not sure how does it actually taste like.
It was really disappointing. The frosting is too sweet and it feels like you're eating raw sugar. The outside should be crunchy and inside soft or fluffy as I expected. But it was totally as hard as rock. We've only managed to finish the topping. If you are conscious about weight/health issues it would best to avoid eating it.

Cappucino & Tea

I was quite unhappy that the tea was not served by pot which lasts at least four tea cups (like Harrods and T42). But I was glad that ice water was served which really suits our needs, we were kinda thirsty and wanted something  refreshing...It was served at the right time. It’s a place where people can relax and feel comfortable outside their home lovely seating area with tables neatly arrange..just not far enough away with your neighbor. A dining experience that will leave you feeling pampered and relaxed but not overpriced. Do yourself a favor and stop in when you have a weekend afternoon that need wasting. It's a present to yourself that I think you really really deserve. A great place that to enjoy a book, conversation or simply some peace.
