TWG Tea, Pavilion

TWG Tea is an absolutely lovely spot for an afternoon tea with the ladies.
Like any tea service you get a 3-tiered of sweet and savoury foods.
This restaurant offers a wide selection of teas from all over the world. Way too much in our opinion. The prices of the tea selection ranging from RM18 - RM377 ( wonder how does it taste like?!)

The best thing in TWG Tea is we're served by the French man. Don't hesitate to ask about something on the menu as they are very patient and knowledgeable (some are good looking!)
*The French man has his charming way of making me feel like I was back in Paris.

We ordered the FORTUNE set which includes:
- TWG tea from the tea list (supplement for tea over RM18)
- warm toasted sandwiches with gruyere cheese and smoked salmon, served with delicate green salad and house vinaigrette.
- choices of 2 freshly baked scones/ muffins served with jelly and whipped cream or 1 patisserie from the trolley
- a choices of 3 macarons

RM 55 for the afternoon tea set sounds good value for money. But tea is not refillable. 1 pot may not sufficient for 2-3 person.

I like the smoked salmon sandwich very much, the house vinaigrette is the key ingredient to make it tasted so heaven. YUM!

Instead of scones and muffins, we opted for a slice of chocolate cake from the display counter, a bit too sugary for us.

TWG tea macarons are kinda special, they were infused with the signature teas. Hence every macaron has its unique taste. We all loved the Napoleon tea and caramel the most.

  3. I went there with a friend on Thursday and yes, the dark chocolate cake was way too sugary for us as well. The tea was superbly fine, loved every sip:-)
