La Yosh @ Plaza Damas

Japanese Western Restaurant

La Yosh is not your typical Japanese restaurant for it is a fusion of western and Japanese cuisine.
It has a English cottage-style ambiance that you would surely love to stay. The open kitchen concept adds a homey touch to the environment also.
I instantly fell in love with the place when I step into it.

We had the set dinner which includes main course, salad, seafood chowder and drink (RM38+) and some a la carte items.
I had the mentaiko spaghetti which consists of shrimp, clam and mushroom tossed in roe of pollock.
It's definitely not appealing at first glance but I must say that it was so yummy and everything blends so good that you will surely ask for more of it...And feeling 'pop' of salty and small balls in mouth is always fun to eat! The portion was enomous  if compare with the mentaiko in Allo paris. But if I have to choose a favorite, it would have to be the Allo paris as their version was not that dry.

The teriyaki chicken spaghetti was not bad though, the chicken was moist and seasoned very well.

The only menu item that I wasn't crazy about was the escargot. Somehow, they had a distinctly strange taste which is not  what a normal escargot taste like.

Starter- seafood chowder (RM8.50)

Turkey ham salad

Mentaiko Spaghetti (RM 21.80)

Green tea ice cream?! (on the set dinner menu)

Escargots baked with garlic butter (RM12.80)

Teriyaki chicken spaghetti (RM19.80)

Tropical fruit tea

The food is outstanding and the service can't be beat! If you are passing through, it's worth stepping in.
