Hakata Ippudo (一風堂) @ Pavilion

Internationally acclaimed Japanese ramen is now in pavilion KL. There is a huge hype about this place, so we decided to give this place a try to see what the big deal was all about. There was a half an hour wait before I get to enter the restaurant. Like any other ramen restaurant, the interior is simple and authentic. Once inside we were offered bar seating. It has an open kitchen concept which is common among ramen restaurant, so we get to see all the cooks in action.

Akamaru shinaji (RM28)- Ippudo's original tonkatsu broth enhanced with special blended miso paste and fragant garlic oil. Served with thin noodles, belly chashu, kikurage and spring onions. A refined, modern-style ramen.

Karaka-men(RM28) - Ippudo's original tonkatsu broth with special spicy miso & ground pork. Karaka-men was more to my liking because of the broth, in particular, was strong and flavorful compare to akamaru shinaji.

Do you notice there is no egg in the ramen, yes their ramen doesn't come with an egg. Can't accept ramen without a perfect match soft boiled egg???? Don't worry, add on toppings available from RM2- RM5

Nitamago ( RM2)- favored soft boiled egg
Negi (RM2)- Spring onion
Nori( RM2)- Seaweed
Chashu (RM5)- Simmered pork
Ajikikurage (RM3)- Flavored black fungus

Everything about Ippudo's ramen was fantastic, from the chewiness of the noodles to the completely addictive flavor of the soup, and the pork was pretty succulent.
I would prefer Ippudo ramen if I craving for some good ramen as it was very much better if compared with Menya musashi and Goku raku.

Menya musashi @ Isetan, 1 utama

Both the Kuro chashu men & Aka musashi ramen was too oily for my liking

Goku raku ramen @ paradigm mall

Goku raku ramen- the broth was ok but not too memorable

Surprisingly, stamina don was not bad though

Service however poor in Goku raku, the worst service I've ever seen.  May be I went on a bad day??!
By the way, the tables are tooooo close together which is a pity, not only I can literally hear what the patrons beside our table were speaking, my elbow almost touched the guy at the next table while having my meal.

  2. I think that everything said was actually very logical.
But, what about this? suppose you added a little content?
I am not saying your content isn't good., however what if you added something to maybe get folk's attention?
I mean "Hakata Ippudo (一風堂) @ Pavilion" is a little vanilla.

You could peek at Yahoo's home page and watch how they create article titles to get people to click. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab readers interested about what you've
written. Just my opinion, it could bring your posts a little livelier.
