Wondermama @ bangsar village

Just popped into this lively restaurant in Bangsar village the other day. Had a lovely coffee and delicious wonder burger.
The decor is one of a kind, love the little this and that, reminded me of my childhood.
The price for the meal was almost too good to be true, ~ RM47 including tax. (20% off  all snacks and drinks from 2-6pm daily)
The seating area is well designed but they are not as comfortable as you might think. I think the chairs are designed skillfully to discourage lingering, tricky huh
Coffee is above average, not the best but certainly good...
I can hardly taste the chicken of the chicken katsu burger but it was crispy enough that made it so yummy...Prawn katsu burger is the better choice if you asked me.

Chicken Katsu Burger (RM13.80) - consists of tomato, cucumber, lettuce, egg, tartar sauce & Tongkatsu sauce, served with fruits & choice of fries or salad.

Watch out because these burgers can get messy

Restaurant 10 Binjai

Restaurant 10  Binjai is located in PNB darby park. The restaurant was full when we arrived hence we were seated at the outdoor table.
It can take a while to get your your order so be patient. We spent over an hour waiting time for our meal to arrive. Apologies were forthcoming when we went to ask, the staff didn't seem to be willing or able to speed things along. Waited for 45mins, then came the cut fruit which was not a good sign, how long more are we gotta wait?! I almost yell at the waitress. I've never waited so long for a meal.
First came the pizza, but we noticed the waitress brought us the wrong pizza! We took it because we can't wait any longer.
We were left with no food for a very long time again...
Then we got a half hearted apology from the waiter as when our Tarragon chicken did arrive it was cold. She took it away then returned in less than 10 mins (after microwave i guess)
From a price perspective there are main dishes starting from about RM 12 (pasta) to RM27 (Lamb chop).
To be honest, the food was not so bad with hearty portion at a great price but messed up by extremely slow service and the server would disappear.
Full restaurant always a good sign? Not really

Chilled fruit juices (RM6) - Mango flavor is worth a try.

Al Funghi (RM16) - Topped with mushroom, onion, capsicum and mozzarella. Good value for money and certainly enough for sharing

Bolognaise spaghetti (RM12) - Not bad but not extraordinary either.  

Grilled Tarragon marinated chicken supreme (RM22) - Marinated chicken served with garlic maple pumpkin and roasted vegetables.

Puran B, Isetan 1 utama

Puran B which is actually a Japanese version of Plan B has finally come to 1 utama. Although located in a mall, in the busy Isetan food paradise which consisting of many other eateries, the decor are sufficiently unique to set the restaurant apart as separate entity. That's what the BIG group always does.

Nyonya Laksa (RM20) - Poached shredded chicken, prawns, crunchy bean sprouts, long beans and cucumber in a fragant light lemongrass curry, over rice vermicelli. Best served with chili given.

Teriyaki Salmon Fillet (RM35) - grilled salmon fillet with teriyaki sauce served with cold soba noodles and soy dressing. A nice piece of salmon with overcooked and chalky soba.

Nasi  Lemak (RM26) - Coconut rice with ayam berempah, sambal sotong and tradional condiments. Average at best, I found the rice was not fragrant at all and completely lacked the coconut richness. Not something I would order again.

Carbonara pasta (RM20) - Spaghetti with turkey ham and sauteed mushrooms, tossed in classic creamy sauce. Best meal of the night.

Give her carbonara, and she is a happy girl

Bonjour garden bakery cafe (2)

We have dined several times here and have always been very satisfied with the food. We dined most recently two weeks ago, the food was once again very good.

Chicken tenders (RM10.90) -  succulent strips of skinless, boneless chicken, bread crumbed and fried to perfection, served with a creamy tartar dipping sauce.

Bonjour tom yum seafood spaghetti (RM17.50) - Italy meets Thailand. Spaghetti with fruits of  the sea, mussel, prawn, fish and calamari, in a rich and tangy sauce.

Carbonara chicken (RM15.50) - Sliced of lean tender chicken breast compliment the rich, creamy, cheesy sauce of this delicious spaghetti dish with a parsley garnish.

Chicken teriyaki burger (RM 18.90) - Grilled chicken teriyaki with mushroom, cheese and served with mixed salad and fries. Yummy!

Bonjour garden is an large open air restaurant, so yes, means it's a great place for breakfast and dinner, but lunch. Good thing is, they serve weekend lunch buffet for only RM9.80 per pax from 12pm-3pm. (If you like sauna).  It has a spacious nice layout  and similar to The Loaf and L. Table with an attached bakery.

At bonjour garden you will be able to enjoy a wide variety of tasty dishes at a reasonable price.

Service is a bit rigid, they won't do anything at your table other than bring food out  and take away empty plates. You need to join the queue at the counter if you want to order something. But food came out super quick. And don't forget to take something home with you from the patisseries area. They have fabulous assortment of home-style breads.

Cappucino (RM6.50)

Egg on toast or half boiled egg (RM 7.50) - Two egg fried, poached or scrambled, the choices is yours, served with baked bean, white or mixed grain toast, or a croissant fresh from the bakery and finest imported dairy butter.

Bonjour omelette ( RM8.90) - The french style way to start the way, the fluffy omelette filled with fresh button mushroom, chicken ham, cheddar cheese, onion, capsicum and crabmeat. Served with a small salad and baked bean.

Marinara seafood pasta (RM14.90) - Spaghetti in a traditional Italian slow cooked tomato sauce with prawns, dory fish, calamari rings and green mussel. A seafood treat. Extremely generous portion of seafood.

Grill salmon (RM22.90) - Prime quality salmon fillet grilled to perfection and served on a bed of spaghetti with sauteed carrot and broccoli, tossed in olive oil, garlic, chili flakes and parsley. A must try! The lemon butter sauce was so heaven.

Grilled chicken chop (RM17.90) - A juicy and tender grilled chicken. served with chunky fries, salad with olive oil balsamic dressing and a tasty home made black pepper sauce.
